I was incredibly excited about this film adaptation of Stephen King’s short story. I must have read this creepy, classic tale at least a dozen times over the past thirty-plus years. It started off well but lost momentum after thirty or forty minutes. It strayed too far from the original and lacked the same haunting quality as the short story. For me, it was incredibly disappointing.
