I finished packing everything yesterday. This morning, looking at the empty room, I was faced with a few unpleasant realities I had chosen to ignore this last year. In truth, I couldn't have afforded anything better even if it had been offered (which it hadn't).

The hotel has wi-fi, cable TV and BBC World News. I can survive here for a few days. A proper bed too.

Tomorrow my suitcase goes to the airport. I am sending it now to avoid any delays.
