I made it back in one piece. Feels a bit strange to be here even though I have only been gone for a year. I tried everything I could to make it work but in the end, you have to know when it is time to move on.
Last Day

My last day here has arrived. I made up one last parcel today and sent it off. It will be months before it arrives but it was very cheap to send.
I seem to running a pretty big CloudFront bill. I've switched html logging off as it was already over one hundred thousand entries.
I won't have time to post for the next two days as I will be travelling.
Shoes

I booked the train this morning and started to dispose of the last few things I cannot bring back with me. This includes a pair of shoes I am fond of. They've barely had a year's wear but I can always buy another pair when I get home.
I spent most of the afternoon in the town office when it turns out I didn't really need to. Still, they are aware I am leaving now.
Tomorrow is my last day here and then it's time to finally go home.

I watched this horror movie this evening. I thought it was quite interesting and inventive but not so sure about all the praise that has been heaped on it. I guess the majority of stuff that comes out now is so derivative that any movie that shows even a small spark of originality is going to be talked about. The cinematography was pretty striking and when you consider it was made on a budget of a million dollars, it puts many other more expensive movies to shame. I recommend you see it if you get the chance.
